2 Tim. 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
This year all of us were in Awanas. Wayne was the leader of the Truth &Training boys, I helped with the Truth & Training Girls, Peyton was in Truth & Training, Parker was a Spark & itty bitty was a Cubbies! Due to this fact this was a very challenging year for us! Additionally, Pearson really did not start talking to the Cubbies until about November and we were behind several verse for most of the year. She finally pulled it out in the end and she finished her book.
Barefooted Parker finished her first Sparks book with a few weeks to spare and started working on review verses. It's a big jump from Cubbies to Sparks. In Cubbies you memorize one verse a week in Sparks in order to finish your book you must memorize about 2-3 verses per week and complete a variety of activities. She did a great job in her first year!
Peyton received an Excellence award for completing the 2nd book in Truth & Training. Again, T&T is a jump from Sparks because now you have to memorize at least 3 verse per week to complete your book and do more complicated projects. Peyton does a wonderful job with her verses most of the time....she is my girl with a curl!
