Spring in the country

Since we've moved out here we have become more attune with the flow of nature. Today I noticed a blossom on the peach tree. I immediately looked up to see if our oaks had leaves again, not yet. Next I checked the calendar to see when Spring would arrive, March 20th. Then I thought about the fact we are entering another season of birth and that we'll start seeing loads of baby animals & birds around here again. I don't remember noticing this when I was in town. I don't know if I was too rushed or if I just wasn't interested. I do think the pace around here is just right for being still.

Psalm 46:10"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

I hope everyone has a chance to be still and see the Cardinal, enjoy the Robins and bask in the glory that is God.

You are so right! I notice things now that I never noticed living in suburbia in CA. I find myself paying closer attention to the weather, what the trees are doing, etc.
