The Brenham House |
We enjoyed walking around downtown and eating at the variety of very tasty places like the Funky Art Cafe, Valores & Manuel's. We even went to visit Home Sweet Farms Market day and picked up some chicken from Mamare Farms and we were able to chat with Ben & Alyssa Godfrey of Sand creek Farms. When we returned we were refueled, well rested and ready to tackle the rigors of child rearing! I hope you all take a little time for yourselves and your marriages. This was our first get away in a couple of years and we really need to make this more of a bi yearly/yearly happening!

I just found your blog when I googled christian homemaking/homeschooling. I love it! I am a mom of two girls, one I homeschool and one goes to public school in hopes of a dance scholarship in the near future. Anyway I live in Brenham so this post caught my eye. My wedding anniversary is in a few months and this local spot sounds so nice! I just wanted to pop in a say hello since you live near me. I am going to really enjoy reading your blog in the future!
