Menu Madness at Rooster Hill

Okay here is our meal plan and a confession. Our garden is starting to produce and I am becoming a more proficient gardener so we are actually seeing the fruit of our labor. So some of my meals will change with the harvest.
Last week we had a wonderful meal of turnip greens, beans & cornbread. I had proudly grown the turnip greens. I think we should have a night of only foods we've grown (including of course the chickens!)
So current garden options as they ripen: Swiss Chard, okra, turnips, turnip greens, squash, green beans & black eyed peas. I'll let you know how it shakes out!
Week 1:
Sunday- Turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry, peas, rolls
Monday- Tomato Soup with grilled cheese sandwiches
Tuesday - HOPE Group (Breakfast for dinner)
Wednesday - CORE GROUP
Thursday- Cabbage with Sausage
Friday- Beans, rice & cornbread
Saturday - Braised Beef tips over potatoes with peas
Week 2:
Sunday: Sausage Soup
Monday: Split Pea Soup
Tuesday: HOPE GROUP (Peperoni Chicken)
Wednesday: CORE GROUP
Thursday: Beans, Rice & Cornbread
Friday: sausage casserole, peas
Saturday: Pulled pork Sandwich with French fries
Sunday: Carpio's Cashew Chicken over rice
I hope you enjoy the meal ideas and eat some wonderful meals. Next Monday I will post my Chili recipe which is either from Southern Living or Texas Co-op Magazine. I get some great recipes out of that co-op magazine, it's not so good for decorating though!
See you soon!

I wanted to let you know, that you can buy rolls at Golden Corral for $1-3 dollars a dozen...I dont have very good memory...lol. They make them there, you can call in and order them, or go their yourself. We got 2 dozen multi-Grain.. And we froze them for later, they taste really good.
