An Update --The McVay's are Homeless...not really

We are just relying on God since our plans have all fallen through!

Tonight we are staying with wonderful and lovely Ms. Halei Colbert.

So what happened last weekend it rained so hard that our country roads were washed out and our driveway became a swapway. We hoped to pull the RV barley onto the property and move into it (mind you this would be without water and power) ]...3
But when the wonderful Mr. Kramer came to tow our RV from Country RV to our property the RV did not work (a fuse or something was blown, we found out later)so Country RV had to fix it. Then they said they would deliver it due to their error.

Then Wayne informed me we would move to a campground and we found the the 'Lazy G RV Campground' (Isn't that name so cute and southern...plus we will have power and water!). So at 11 pm Awesome Brian Maass and MY DEAR WONDERFUL HUBBY went to register and pay for the spot. Well, two days later the really sweet Southern lady let someone else have our spot even though we registered and paid. So no place to sleep tonight until by 'coincidence' Wayne ran into Halei at Wal-Mart...BOOM a place to sleep.

Just a side note we love the Awesome Maass' who moved in on Thursday-Monday to help us pack, clean and store stuff. I do not think I have every drank so much soda or laughed so much in my life! Everyone needs some Maass' to share their lives with!!!

Keep us in your prayers during our new adventure its all Good when God is in control!

Country Road take me home

Almost heaven, Central Texas?

Copperhead-eds, Navasota river
Life is scary wild hogs in the trees
lots of scraggly Youpon
I need a goat to eat this please

Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long?
Central Texas, pistol packing mama
Please call before you come over please

All my memries, are in the city
City lady, stranger to well water
Love the bright lights, loft living, fast talkers
Misty taste of Starbucks, teardrop in my eye

Now Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long?
Central Texas, 5th wheel living
take me home country road...

I hear Rush's voice, in the mornin hours he calls to me
The radio reminds me of my home far a-way
And drivin down the road I get a feeling
That I finally came home to-o-day to-day
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
Central Texas, I'm a pistol packing mama
Please call to see if we're home

A Country road takes me home

To the P-pod, where I be-long,Central Texas,

Living Hope, one Hot hubby, pistol packing mama, 3 p's and a yellow lab
God's plan for me is on the country roads that
take me home....

John Denver's Version

Almost heaven, west virginia
Blue ridge mountains,shenandoah river
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains,
blowing like a breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads
All my memries, gather round her
Miners lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home,
country roadsI hear her voice,
in the mornin hours she calls to me
The radio reminds me of my home far a-way
And drivin down the road I get a feeling
That I should have been home yesterday, yesterday
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I be-long
West virginia, mountain momma
Take me home, country roads

God working in my life * SOLD

Okay, so today is Peyton's 9th birthday party. She turned 9 last week. In a very un-Kyle fashion I was at Wal-Mart picking up the cake, tablecloth, napkins, goodie bags & goodies at 11:00 a.m. Now the party is at noon. But I am making good time and I am not at all worried even though these are the kinds of things I would have done the day before normally. So I am over there in the bakery talking to Laney & Bessie (yes I know most of the clerks by name...its a mission field!) and joking around how this has been such a wonderful easy going morning. How everything has fallen right into place and I have time to spare. So I get my cake and turn around and notice the store is packed because it is mid day on Saturday but 'praise God' there is no wait in the self check lines. So we skip over to the self check line and I ring up all of our stuff and go into my purse to get my money wallet and it's not there....I take a few (50-100) deep breaths and look again its not there now I am frantically starting to pull things out of my purse. ITS NOT THERE ITS NOT THERE ITS NOT THERE....... Okay deep breath and a silent prayer 'God I need to see someone I know that has a cell phone'. No sooner did I pray this then I looked up and saw Charli Brooks' husband (who I bearly know!) and Mackenzie. So in a panic I hurried over to him while thanking God for his appearance at Wal-Mart. As I frantically told him what happened and asked to use his cell phone he said "I'd be happy to pay for that if they have an ATM around here." So, I called Wayne to see if he was close enough to get to Wal-Mart he was in Carlos! Then Mr. Brooks kindly followed me over to the Self Check and paid for my $28 worth of groceries! There are so many scriptures that I could use to describe this but the one that has been close to my heart for weeks now is

1Thes 5:16-18: "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. "

A long time favorite:

Mat 21:22 "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

I prayed and I knew that God would send someone that had a cell phone I could use. I remembered to thank him for sending help, so quickly. What I did not know is that he would provide abundantly for the need at hand. There was a man that was willing to pay for my groceries without concern to the amount he was "happy to do it". I wonder how many times I've asked God something and forgot to look up when a 'Mr Brooks' was right there wanting to help. How many times have a walked away from God's abundant help to accept nothing or mediocrity! Today was I good day I saw God today and my kids got to see God provide for us!

Now misc. way less events in the lives of the McVay's....

Our house sold and we close on May 28th!

Peyton & Parker performed in the Homeschool Choir and were simply wonderful!

Peyton's fun skating party

Our tax check got here early so we will have power and water in the country soon!

Diaper duty....

Well, tonight when Wayne was putting on Pearsy's diaper and the little Velcro side thingy broke. Hmmm.... He asked me to take over and Pearsy stood up, tried to jump off the bed and I tore off the other side thingy. Hmmm....So we of course we called Parker (the runner) to get another diaper. Then I thought Duck Tape.... we are in the midst of packing and duck tape/tape is plentiful. So we redirected Parker to get the tape. She gave me the tape and really looked confused. Parker watched me very closely as I proceeded to tape the diaper on Pearson and when I was done she just kept staring at it and saying "Oh, my gosh...." It's wonderful feeling to laugh instead of fuss and enjoy the unexpected comments and facial expressions of these little blessings!
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus" 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Sometimes what God has for us looks a little different than what we expected.

Biblical Math

This morning when I was reading Genesis about Israel's (Jacob) family I noticed (='s God revealed) by the time he moved from Canaan to Egypt his immediate family had grown to a total of 66 people!!! God promised a multitude and he was on his way! Imagine if we all had lots of kids like Israel maybe not 11 but how about 3,4,5,6,7 kids or more....If we each of those children had 4 children and those 4 children had 4 children then we would have 24 descendants immediately. If these children are raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord we could have 44 new Christians! Even as an English Major that is some math even I can love! The world says 2 kids is enough (people have even come up to me to tell me ' I can tell you how that (pregnancy) happens' and I only have 3 kids!) So lets do the world's math... 2 kids have 2 kids and you have reproduced Christian 6 descendants. Wow, we have such a wonderful opportunity to raise up many little Christian solders for the kingdom of the Lord in our own homes. From our own wombs and from the wombs of other women (like the Bacaks). Wow..I nearly forgot about fostering like the Hendricks, Carpios and Henry's imagine the number of lives they could touch for the kingdom!

The Bible is such a rich the tapestry of truths calling out to us! What a mission field!
